Here are some pictures of their gig in Dublin (not all these pictures were taken by me)
Bastille
Sunday, 4 November 2012
Bastille are a band from South London, England, formed in 2010. Bastille started out as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form a band. The band consists of Dan Smith, Chris 'Woody' Wood, Will Farquarson and Kyle Simmons. The name of the band comes from Bastille Day; the day Dan Smith was born.
Majority of their music was written and recorded in the Dans bedroom. The band have no yet released an album but a number of EPs. Bad Blood EP, Overjoyed EP and their latest Flaws EP. they also released a free EP entitles Other Peoples Heartache, which is full of covers they put their own spin on.
Since 2010 they have nothing but get bigger and bigger. most of their shows in the UK have been sold out in minutes. Their first gig which they played in Ireland was in The Academy 2 on the 11th of October which was also a sold out gig. I had the pleasure of going to the concert and being in the very front for the whole gig. the band just work together so well and their harmonies were flawless. They even stayed behind after to meet and greet their fans by signing tickets and taking pictures they even had full conversations. they had to be the most down to earth band i had met.
I strongly advise you give them a listen and if they have a gig on near you to buy a ticket, i can guarantee they will not disappoint.
Feel free to comment and let me know what you think of them? :)
